  1. I think that Lively is better than almost anyone else when it comes to material culture, and the resonances of the artifact; at least that’s what I feel about her novels. From what you say here, it seems as though that’s true of her memoirs as well.

  2. I had no idea that she had written about her life and family. But I love her novels, so these three titles are going on my shopping list. Thanks, Kate, for reviewing them. And then I shall return to her novels with a fresh eye, perhaps?
