  1. Thank you, Kate, for this eclectic selection: it could hardly be more varied! I share your lack of oomph (maybe the sense of groundhog day has got to us) but if anything could get it back it is this list. I was particularly interested to see your Pym review as there are one or two parallels with Angela Thirkell, whose new biography came out at about the same time as this.

    1. My goodness, 191 comments on his epic review. Clearly there is a lot here to unpick. I got very bored less than halfway through his assessment of this book, but thank you for the link, for others to look at.
